We at NMS have become experts at making durable valve repair tags.
A valve shop came to Tammy at Neumann Marking Solutions about needing a tag solution for the information on repaired valves. It’s very important that the tags be resistant to ripping. The valve tags are to be stored outside in all weather conditions.
Their existing system was to place a printed label on a paper tag with a grommet and then laminating it for outdoor protection. This was a very time consuming and cumbersome process.
There were many hours wasted in making durable tags in this inefficient way.
We describe the slow process of using luggage tags here:
How to Make Valve Repair Tags Quickly and Affordably
Tammy gave them a sample of a non-rip tag with a pre-punched hole. NMS sells these on a roll with perforations so they can print their own through a thermal transfer label printer.
Efficiently printing their own valve repair tags, on demand with the TSC TTP247 Label Printer, made a lot of sense.
To test durability, one customer even attached a printed, non-rip tag on the aerial of his truck and drove from Ottawa to Alberta.
When he returned the tag was still intact and readable!
They also put the tags through numerous chemical baths to test their image durability.
As these tags held up in all their scenarios, they now use 7 tag printers to identify pumps and valves in all of their locations.
We sell these printers and tags to many valve repair companies and have several varieties of tag materials below.
